NOTICE – The next meeting of the BR RC Club will be Tuesday July 6th at the Greenwell Springs Road Library at 7:00 PM

I missed the last meeting as I was out of town.  I understand we had a good discussion of the big bird fly-in.  It is scheduled to Saturday, September 25th.  Contest Director is Mike Goetzman if you will be there volunteer for something.  If you only spell someone else for a few minutes to give them a break it will be appreciated.

There was a discussion about transmitter impound when the field gets a little busy.  The ‘Thursday bunch’ checked things out on one week and build them the next week.  I have not seen what it is yet but have been told it is two portable racks that will hold the transmitters.  During normal flying they can be put out by the pin box and give flyers a convenient way to store their transmitter when not flying.  Get the frequency pin and pick up the transmitter at the same time.  For events they can be move to the normal impound area.

Red stick club is having a fly-in this Saturday the 26th.  All flyers are welcome and there is no landing fee.  Food will be available at noon for a nominal price.

I understand I missed a good presentation by Carroll Harris on covering and reinforcing cowls.  I had to do some repairing on one not too long ago and had no idea what I was doing.  Wish I had been there.  Mickey Genre will be presenting ‘A lot about nothing’.  I don’t know what to expect there should be good.

See you at the field!

We are still having the presentations after the meeting.  If you have something you want to present then by all means let us know.  The last list I saw was getting short.
